For our Headquarters in Berlin, we are currently looking to recruit an:
Experienced Specialist - End User Computing Berlin, Germany
Under the supervision of the Domain Lead - Servers / End User Computing and Storage, the successful candidate will define and support the management of End User Computing (ECU) infrastructure (including laptops, desktops, printers and engineering workstations). The Specialist - End User Computing will work with the Domain Leaders for Telecoms, Enterprise Services, Information and Data Security and on Infrastructure Projects within the Infrastructure team.
For this role, we require an experienced IT specialist, possessing in particular up-to-date expertise within the end user computing field. The ideal candidate will also have a broad knowledge of operational processes & practices and must possess good budget management skills.
In addition, the Specialist - End User Computing will be responsible for: * Supporting the Customer Order Fulfilment (COF) Process * Supporting the governance model * Service Life Cycle Management Key accountabilities for this role will include:
* Defining the IT strategy for the respective domain (Standard Operating Environment) * Responsible for the standard definition of Laptops, Desktops, Workstations and printer hardware * Interfaces with our external IS service provider's Domain Leads * Reviewing Budgets & forecasts * Negotiating contracts as required Internal contacts for this individual will include: IS Program Management, IS Business Relationship Management and IS Finance. External partners will include specialists in Demand Management, Invoice Management and Technology
Candidate Requirements:
For this role, the successful candidate should offer the following:
* Educated to University level (Masters preferred) in an appropriate Technical (IS/IT) subject * Communication: must be customer focused, and able to communicate affectively internal and externally within a large global company * Budgets: Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the management and monitoring of budgets to minimize costs and ensure cost-effectiveness * Decision Making: To ensure business commitments are met. Need to be able to make balanced rationalized and timely decisions * A commercial background regarding international business and an appreciation of cultural diversity is advantageous * 5 years' experience (minimum) in a similar function within an international context * Business fluent in the English language * German and French language skills are also highly desirable for this role
