you like to look ahead in your work and you have a good eye for potential risks. you are either a qualified technician/master or you have a college degree in engineering. ideally, you are already familiar with the power station sector. following further training in occupational safety and at least three years of practical work in this field, you have acquired well-founded knowledge of the use of iso management systems. ideally, you also know about boilers and pressure equipment. you are able to communicate persuasively and to advise people effectively. you enjoy working towards fixed targets as much as you do towards the provision of good service. and last but not least, you have no problems speaking english.  gdf (COMPANY NAME) energie deutschland ag, a subsidiary of the second largest european energy supplier, is constantly growing and is looking for a safety-aware specialist to work as a

local health and safety expert

in its wilhemshaven branch.

your role will involve implementing, applying and constantly improving the local occupational safety and environmental management systems. you will advise local management in these issues and make sure that corporate policies are put into practice and that legal regulations and qualitative norms are always maintained. you will also keep records of your work and write the occupational safety and environmental reports. you will accompany internal and external audits and make sure that claims are processed quickly. you will maintain good and cooperative contacts with the local authorities in the region.
