Job Description:

The Hotel and Catering work placement is based in Corfu Island in Greece which is one of the most beautiful Greek islands. The program includes  hands-on training into all hotels' departments such as: Reception, Reservations, Guest relations, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Breakfast room, Cafe/Bar. The program involves exposure into advanced business tasks such as Sales and Marketing, Website Marketing, Supervisory tasks and overall Management subject on on-the-job proven capabilities and successful appraisal. 

The Hotel work practice program offers hands-on hotel and catering experience in an entrepreneurial environment next to the beach. An open, friendly and flexible attitude is a must in order to melt into this multinational environment as well as the local village culture. 

The internship is valid from May/June till October/November and for a minimum of three (3) to maximum six (6) months in total. The length of stay is subject on candidates  obligations as well as needs of the company. 

We offer free shared staff accommodation and full Greek breakfast buffet style (bfast available from June to September). Applicants are advised to arrange own finance via a European grant such as Leonardo or Erasmus or any other own means. Working hours are 40 hours per week and there are no transportation costs to and from the hotel.

Your Profile 

You are young, enthusiastic and want to spent good time combining school credits with pleasure during the summer season. You are studying or have completed your studies in hotel, catering or tourism fields. 

You wish to expand your European work experience by working in a Mediterranean beach family hotel and resort. You are hoping to gain the work experience necessary for your school credits and future career goals and also (of course) to have some fun! 

Additional Requirements: 

* European school and European Passport Holders (some exemptions for Russian speaking, may apply) 
* 18 years old and above 
* Educational background in Hotel / Catering / Tourism 
* Language skills - English Essential/Any second language welcomed in particular Russian and Italian 
* University and work references 
* Adaptive to the new cultures 
* Open, friendly, flexible attitude
