Function description

the fiduciary group in luxembourg is part of the trust and fiduciary area of worldwide security services. it is responsible for adherence to luxembourg law of depository bank responsibilities undertaken by j.p. morgan bank luxembourg s.a. this includes programmes for the supervision of assets, checking of investment restrictions (where applicable) and oversight of outsourced custody services.

its role is to safeguard the interests of investors and to protect fund assets for their benefit by always knowing where and how the assets are available, ensuring subscription/redemptions and dividend payments are transacted  in accordance with the law and constitutional documents and ensuring that in transactions involving the assets of the fund, consideration is  received within the normal market timeframes.

description of responsibilities
objective:   
* ensure that 3rd party assets are monitored to ensure we understand where and when they are available. this is undertaken by reviewing transactions and their counterparties which include statement confirmations and credit ratings as well as cash payments instructed by the fund managers.
* ensure that transactions are settled in a timely manner by checking outstanding trades., corporate events, income and tax receivables, and that the funds transactions are in compliance with the law and constitutional documents by participating in administrative site visits.
* ensure that the fund comply with investment restrictions required by the luxembourg law or the funds prospectus and management regulations by undertaking periodic reviews of the funds assets using a desktop application.  duties and responsibilities: 
* oversight of free cash payments and monitoring of assets held with 3rd parties.
* investment restriction monitoring using desktop application to ensure compliance of the funds investment restrictions with the law and fund prospectus/regulations.
* participate in review of administrators procedures relating to transactions undertaken on behalf of the fund.
* oversight of custody transactions undertaken on behalf of the fund, relating to corporate events, market transactions, income and tax receivables.
* monitoring of market activities which may require actions on behalf of the fund.
* participation in fiduciary/fund projects.

Knowledge and experience   
* custody, ta and fund accounting experience an advantage
* experience and understanding of global markets and instruments, including otc derivatives, an advantage
* written and spoken english and french, german an advantage
