Circuit Design Engineer

Job Description:

Job Description: Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design''  circuit checking''  device evaluation and characterization''  documentation of specifications''  prototype construction and checkout''  modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components''  performing developmental and/or test work''  reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams''  planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

In this position, you will be part of the Embedded and Communications Group (ECG) and key member of the mixed-signal/analog circuit design team in Shannon, Ireland.  Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, general circuit design and system integration of analog circuit components on next generation (COMPANY NAME) integrated embedded processors.  Candidate will also have the responsibility of assisting system architects and full-chip design teams in defining I/O electrical/functional specifications and  register configuration as well as maintaining a database for these specs

Candidate Requirements:

You must have a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering.  Additional qualifications desired:

- Solid understanding of circuit design and simulation techniques.
- Strong background in I/O DFT and other generic DFT subjects.
- Good understanding of Silicon processing, CMOS circuits, logical and physical synthesis.
- Excellent problem solving skills and communication skills
