Contract Manager Energy

(COMPANY NAME) Purchasing consists of a (COMPANY NAME) Sourcing Group and a BG Sourcing Group. (COMPANY NAME) Purchasing has a matrix structure, with three regions (Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific) and three Spend Areas (Chemicals, Utilities & Business Intelligence and Indirect). The Chief Purchasing Officer leads the (COMPANY NAME) Purchasing organization. The (COMPANY NAME) Purchasing Strategy ensures that (COMPANY NAME) Purchasing creates maximum values as an integral part of the business strategy, at minimal cost while fully leveraging our capabilities through a clearly aligned governance structure.

Currently we are looking for a Contract Manager Energy and has the following key areas of accountability:

1.      Contract manager executes contract implementation: 
* Responsible for execution of the implementation plan
* Track and report key performance indicators
* Propose and implement corrective actions to Category manager/ Lead Buyer
* Provide input to Category Manager/Lead Buyer for future sourcing initiatives from lessons learned (new sourcing initiatives and trends, development of contract, development of implementation plan)
* Work in close collaboration with Category managers/(Lead) Buyers and Internal stakeholders in order to ensure acceptance of contracts
* Accountable for loading contracts in SAP 
2.      Develop and manage relationship/partnership with suppliers and track their performance, manage relationship with suppliers during the contract period', incl. complaint handling: 
* Continuously track supplier performance in accordance with Supplier Development Program.
* Consolidate findings of supplier performance and report to Category manager/(Lead) Buyers as input for the cross-functional review meetings with the suppliers.
* Implement supplier development activities as defined in the (cross-functional) review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and further reduce cost
* Continuously assess opportunities and implement actions defined by the Category manager / (Lead) Buyer to improve supplier performance
* Track pro-actively cost saving programs with suppliers 
3.      Accountable for timely, correctly and completely recording, registration and filing of all Purchasing contracts in such a way that insight can be obtained into the related outstanding Purchasing commitments and in the contract usage.

4.      Act as point of contact for BG-Contract-managers and Suppliers regarding all contract related issues and act in specific cases as content-expert for our internal customers.

5.      During a Sourcing project, be actively involved in the strategic Sourcing process as a member of the cross functional Sourcing team representing the BG-Contract Managers

Candidate Requirements:

The Ideal

Knowledge & Skills:
Preferably category knowledge.
Purchasing processes (sourcing and operational) in business-to-business context.

Educational level:
Bachelor or master in business administration, commerce, engineering or other relevant discipline. Recognized qualification in Purchasing (e.g.NEVI)

Level of Experience:
Experience (1-3 yrs) in purchasing, business intelligence or marketing & sales.
