The Product Manager is responsible to identify the future roadmap of a product, balancing market opportunity and competitive risks. The primary responsibility is to understand the market and represent these market needs across the organization - typically in the form of product positioning, product features and high-level product requirements. The Product Manager is accountable to product ROI and must coordinate a cross-functional team to identify specific investment prioritization recommendations which optimize limited resources to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. A Product Manager is generally responsible for a functional area over a lifecycle, including recommendations for new products as well as sunset of existing products.

The Product Manager, Chemistry, is responsible for existing and named new products within this classification. Current products most relevant to this description include Prous Science Integrity and Predictive Pharmacology Module. The term "product" includes solutions containing services as well as content and software wherever that product can be sold on a repeating basis

Duties and responsibilities:

1.      Encourage sales, customer, prospect and user feedback.  Establish a continuous dialog with customers and others intelligent about the market segment.
2.      Identify and manage ongoing market and customer analysis to identify and interpret opportunities for and threats to revenue growth.
3.      Understand key assets and differentiators of (COMPANY NAME) in context of industry trends and competitive landscape.
4.      Develop general strategies for demand generation, especially during initial launch of new products and solutions.
5.      Prioritize product development investments, across products, value propositions, and customer segments. 
* Monitor key indicators of product success and conduct product rationalization analysis as needed
* Leverage customer and user feedback and analysis to direct prioritization of enhancements to support customer satisfaction, increased usage, and other business goals.  6.      Review or contribute to functional specifications, prototypes and early product versions to ensure ability to meet market goals and obtain customer acceptance.
7.      Establish and maintain a variety of customer and prospect communication channels to support decisions on strategy and prioritization

Candidate Requirements:

* depth of understanding around the pharmaceutical industry, in at least one geographical market (emea, north america, apac) and relevant functional area.
* master's degree in chemistry.
* experience in solving complex non-obvious problems. 
* experience in monitoring commercial success (customer satisfaction) of a newly launched or established product.
* demonstrated experience in identifying and driving new ideas and/or concepts
* experience in working with a team having diverse skill sets.
* strong facilitation skills.
* excellent oral and written english communications.
* well organized and disciplined with regards to policy, procedure and standards.
