We are currently recruiting for a Carbody Additions Engineer in our Passengers Division in Västerås, Sweden.

The Job Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for Dimensioning, design and calculation of air ducts, cable ducts, mounting beams, air piping and crash absorbers, in the meaning of adding functions to a car body shell.

Key Accountabilities:

* Design of parts in 3D
* Calculation of flow, space or structural strength
* Interaction with Concept Integration Engineers
* Contact with suppliers for material data, performance or material choice.
* Interaction with Systems & Product Engineers

Candidate Requirements:

Education and Experience required:   

* Bs or Ms in Mechanical Engineering, Structural calculations
* Minimum of 1 year experience (work or research experience)
* Knowledge of 3D CAD Design Tool as well as Calculation Tool
* Structured approach and excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of Math Lab, Ansys or Nastran would be an advantage
* Willingness to travel to Europe on a regular basis
* Experience of any calculation work 
* Fluent English is a must as well as Swedish
