Job Description:

a fixed-term contract position is available in the legal entity controller (lec) group.  this group is mainly responsible fore:

·        providing results and variance/trend analysis to senior management
·        swiss and us regulatory reporting
·        control oversight (ensuring integrity of financial statements, identification of control issues, review adequacy of reserves, understanding variances, etc.)
·        providing guidance of proper accounting treatments and policy interpretation

we are looking for an accountant with some experience in a financial company with knowledge in swiss gaap for banks (us gaap - an asset).  specifically his task will include:

·        monthly preparation and transmission of financial statements to ny head office
·        bookings processes: cash settlement (clearance of payables and receivables), monthly accruals, us gaap and swiss gaap adjustments financial and regulatory reportings
·        follow-up of aging items
·        inter-entity breaks follow up and resolution
·        daily check of the balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.  variance and trend analysis.
·        day to day maintenance of olympic system (account mapping, mis mapping)
·        control oversight of the general ledger - opening/closing of accounts
.      monthly general ledger reconciliation and substantiation process for finance department
·        swiss regulatory reporting (bns monthly, quarterly and annual reports)

Candidate Requirements:

Languages required: Fluent in French and English.

Technical Knowledge: Advance knowledge in Excel.  Access and Olympic knowledge are an asset.
