Job Description:

The team is responsible for the development of new business in the UK and also coordinating and supporting the European sales effort of Mercer's analytical tools and research within a consulting framework.  The team provides a high level of client servicing to both prospects and subscribers of these services as well as supports consultants who are engaged in consulting around Mercer's intellectual capital (market intelligence).

This suite of tools includes the Global Investment Manager Database (GIMD), Mercer >IS

With increased demand from the European market and an emphasis on continually improving these products we require a new team member to take on key parts of an ever expanding division.

Specifically the analyst will be responsible for: 
* Supporting the sales effort of senior ART team members located in London and supporting consultants in Europe and Middle East.
* Assisting with the development and maintenance of Mercer >IS
* Training and client service for clients in UK, Europe and Middle East to ensure we meet clients expectations and that they are fully utilising the functionality available and to promote additional consulting services. 
* Helping Mercer deliver first class and innovative solutions to the market place by supporting the development and enhancement of Mercer's suite of global products.
* Working closely with the team to produce external and internal marketing material.
* Assistance with the creation of contracts for new product sales
* Assisting with ad hoc projects. 
* Sending out regular updates to clients and consultants.
* Liaising internally with consultants to ensure sales and client reporting systems are up to date and accurate

Candidate Requirements:

* A minimum of 320 UCAS points, A level maths at grade B or above with a minimum 2:1 honours degree expected or obtained in a numerical or semi- numerical degree. Equivalent qualifications are accepted
* Broad knowledge of the industry.
* Ability to plan/prioritise work and complete multiple tasks to tight deadlines is essential.
* Professional and client focused attitude.
* Ability to pro-actively resolve client queries in a timely manner. 
* Excellent communication skills, flexible attitude to work.
* Contribution to the development of new business in Europe.
* Enthusiasm for developing and using internal software applications. 
* Investment Management Certificate (IMC) will be required to be taken if not already obtained.
* Intermediate/Expert level Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
* Good data interpretation, analytical and presentation skills.
* Quality driven and detail orientated.  Preferred qualifications and skills needed for the job: 
* 3  year(s) client servicing experience in Financial markets.
* Knowledge of Mercer's manager research process is beneficial.
* Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) is preferred
